Advanced Trainer Development

ADVANCING TRAINER DEVELOPMENT 2 DAY
PROGRAMME
____________________________________________________________________
FACILITATING KNOWLEDGE, CAPABILITY AND ATTITUDE GROWTH
OVERVIEW
Traditional training of trainers has focused primarily on the ability to impart knowledge,
facilitate the best ways to ensure that knowledge is learned and then potentially test
knowledge retention in the shorter or (sometimes) longer term.
Capabilities (skills) development has also been covered to some extent in areas such as
customer response, sales and management for example although it is harder to prove
learning has taken place (and to what level) when developing capabilities
Attitude (or willing commitment) is rarely looked at, although many would agree that this
aspect of a person’s development can significantly affect the implementation, use and
impact of whatever knowledge and skills they possess.
So, in this programme we visit all three aspects of learning and how they may be best
facilitated by those conducting a training programme or event with the influencing of
attitude (sometimes referred to as appetite) perhaps a significant progressive key for many
who have not experienced these approaches before.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
To develop the knowledge, skills and confidence for participant trainers to work across the
three areas of learning effectively and with desired impact to international standards!
